Famous attractions        
The famous Taipei 101 located in the Xinyi District is the best place to see the view of the Taipei city and to shop. Towering above the city like the gigantic bamboo stalk it was designed to resemble, Taipei 101 is impossible to miss. At 508m, Taipei 101 held the title of 'world's tallest building' for a number of years, though it now must be content with the world's tallest green building. Liberty Square, The Taipei Zoo (Muzha Zoo) and Taipei Fine Arts Museum are attractions for family travelers who are interested in the humanity history and arts in Taipei.

Exit & Entry Permit for the Taiwan Area of the Republic of China (Taiwan Visa)

Online Application / Landing visa

Those applicants who had visited Taiwan or you are the residents of Hong Kong and born in Hong Kong can file an online application or apply for a landing visa with TWD300 application fee. They were required to produce a valid/expired permit (in form of a booklet, issued by ROC) to a ROC immigration officer together with the online application to enter Taiwan. In these cases, applicants' passports are not stamped. Such persons can apply for a permit at the website of the National Immigration Agency.

Paper – from permit Application

For residents of Hong Kong and born in Mainland, they can collect the permit (in form of a paper) at offices of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (also known as Chung Hwa Travel Service) in Hong Kong at Lippo Centre, Admiralty. They need to produce their application number, their British National (Overseas) passport or HKSAR passport (with at least 6-month validity), recent photograph, an envelope with their name and address, a copy of their Hong Kong Identity Card and Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau Residents upon collect of their paper-form permit. The application fee is HKD170 with 10 - 20 working days. The maximum period of stay is 30 days. The validity is three months.
