The Eco-spa at Colca Lodge is blessed with hot springs whose water is rich in lithium, an element that promotes relaxation. It has been carefully designed to offer a unique sensation of wellbeing, comfort and relaxation in natural surroundings on the banks of the River Colca.

In accordance with the origins of the word spa - derived, according to some, from the name of a Belgian village where there are several hot springs or, as others would have it, from the Latin expression sanitas per aquam - the Eco-spa at Colca Lodge exploits geothermal energy not only for use in the various rituals and services offered to visitors, but also as a way of avoiding environmental pollution.

All our treatments start at the hot springs, be they massages, applications, or facial-care routines. This detail, together with an impressive view of the Colca Valley as an incomparable natural backdrop, enables our guests to enjoy an unequalled natural relaxation experience which is continued in the hands of our capable staff.

All the energy consumed by our spa, whether for warming the rooms, heating the water for the Jacuzzis, providing the steam for the saunas or the hot water for the showers, is captured from the thermal sources that surface on the banks of the River Colca. We have developed this system with much effort and imagination, thus enabling relaxation to be achieved in a way that is friendly and respectful to nature.
